When Passion Projects Merge: Welcome to the New Golly Gear Training Hub

“Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”

It sounds good, but it’s a lie. No matter how much you love your chosen path, there are some days that are hard slogs.

Here at Golly Gear, we’ve been working hard to align our two passion projects—providing the best gear for small dogs, and encouraging everyone to enrich their own and their dogs’ lives with training games.

This week, our 2-Minute, positive reinforcement training project has found a permanent home in the new Golly Gear Training Hub. There’s lots there to explore, including years of training tips, games, and special guides for Loose Leash Walking, Puppy Basics, and Overcoming Separation Anxiety.

Finding A Balance

We know not everyone with a dog is as dog-obsessed as we are. But what every dog owner shares is appreciation for the unconditional love and unmatched companionship these amazing beings provide.

The enrichment that training games provide doesn’t require a lot of time, money, space, or energy. If you’re a little intrigued, try one game. “Touch!” is a quickie most dogs play in moments. The perfect time to try it is when you’re watching your screens and that little commercial timer appears in the corner. Grab some treats and get going!

Smart Cookies

Over the years, we’ve discovered that dogs are a lot smarter than most people give them credit for. And they absolutely love playing training games. We’re not sure if it’s because they get your complete attention for the duration or because they really love the games—like most things, it’s probably a combo.
